Student Discount

    What special discount can I get?

    Students belonging to a recognized university will get up to 8% discount on base fare (booking and travel period till 31st March, 2018) on all bookings made online www.spicejet.com and through our Reservations Helpline. This offer cannot be clubbed with any other promotional scheme or discount offer extended by the Company. The discount of 8% shall be reduced to the extent of any other promotional scheme available such that the overall discount does not exceed 8%. This offer is available only on SpiceJet Domestic network. Students will be entitled for an additional baggage allowance of 10 kg under this scheme.

    Is there an age limit to be covered under Student Discount?

    Yes, offer is valid for students age of 12 years and above, carrying a valid ID proof from any bonafide school or university.

    How many seats can I purchase under this category?

    There is restricted inventory available on first-come-first-served basis.

    How do I make the Payment Online?

    With effective from 7th March 2017 the applicable non-refundable convenience fee shall be levied for all the transactions done as per the table given below:

    Is my family eligible for travel under this offer?

    No. This benefit is available for Students only and not for others.

    What document do I need to produce to be able to travel under this category?

    Student need to produce a Valid ID card (with a validity) at the time of booking, which would be verified later at the time of airport entry and check-in.

    Where do I go to purchase the tickets?

    You can book through our Reservations Helpline or visit www.spicejet.com and select your category as Student Discount, and proceed with the booking formalities.

    I cannot find any inventory under this category, how do I get it?

    The inventory might have been exhausted under this category. So you may choose to fly a different date or select a normal class fare to check the availability on the same date.

    Can I change/cancel my reservation (name, date and time changes)?

    If you wish to change any of the details of your booking e.g. date and time or cancellation of your booking, you must inform it at least 2 hours prior to scheduled departure of your flight. With effect from 7th April 2016, on all domestic sectors any change made to the booking will attract a fee of INR 2250 per passenger one way per change. With effect from 1st November 2017, on all domestic sectors cancellation of a booking will attract a fee of INR 3000 per person one way . Any difference in fare will be charged additionally as applicable. Changes/ Cancellation to your booking can be done at our Reservations or at any of our SpiceJet's Airport Sale Centers or online through the SpiceJet site. Change / Cancellation within 2 hours of departure or failure to check-in for a SpiceJet flight at least 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time will result in the forfeiture of the fare. All fees are subject to change without prior notice. All promo/sale fares are refundable (only statutory taxes). Changes are permitted at regular charges.
