SpiceJet Flies High All Through FY 2017
The new service offering to allow passengers to shop and stream movies and other content during flights
  • Stands tall with over 90% Load Factor for 24 successive months.
  • Registers highest OTP for five times during FY17.

Gurgaon, 20 April, 2017: SpiceJet, the country’s favourite carrier, stood indomitable in the Indian skies throughout FY 17 by registering more than 90% PLF (Passenger Load Factor) and also clocking the highest industry OTP (On-Time Performance) five times during the same period. The airline also topped the PLF matrix for March at 91.4% thus taking the total tally to 24 successive months of over 90% load factor, an accomplishment unheard of in global aviation.

As per the statistics released by DGCA, SpiceJet’s OTP charts have witnessed consistent improvement all throughout FY 2017 with the airline topping the charts five times and occupying the second spot on four occasions. For March, the airline’s OTP figure stood at 85.7%. SpiceJet also topped the individual OTP for Delhi with 87.8% during the month. The airline also registered a low cancellation rate of just 0.30%.

SpiceJet, which operates an average of 342 flights daily, carried almost 11.93 lakh passengers in March 2017.
