With the launch of our new Hand Baggage Only fares, SpiceJet is once again taking the lead by offering a discount for those passengers who carry hand-baggage only. The Hand Baggage Only fare will be available on most direct domestic flights (including via flights), with minimum 15 days advance purchase. International and connecting flights are not included.
Travellers with check-in baggage can still check in their 15 kg baggage for free using our normal SpiceSaver and other fares. SpiceJet is not charging for checked baggage for those who select the normal fares that exist today.
Under the new fare, passengers with hand baggage only and who book at least 15 days in advance, will pay Rs.200 less than the normal SpiceSaver fare per one-way flight. While for round trip the discount can be as high as Rs.500. Hand-baggage allowance remains the same as before: one handbag up-to 7 kg per passenger, plus a standard sized shoulder laptop bag or ladies purse. For those who book these fares but later decide to check-in luggage, a fee of Rs.500 for upto 10kg, and Rs.750 for upto 15kg, will be payable at the airport during check-in.

Bookings for our Hand Baggage Only fares can be made on www.spicejet.com, at our Airport Ticket Offices, and through most travel agents. Bookings will soon also be available on most major online travel portals. These fares will not initially be available through our call centre or through our mobile app.
Terms and Conditions:
- No free check-in baggage allowance shall be permissible for the bookings made under the "Hand Baggage Only Fare" (HBOF).
- For bookings made under Hand Baggage Only Fare, check-in baggage shall be charged at an additional fee as per the below mentioned rates:

- The customer shall have to make the payment of these charges before collecting the boarding pass, failing which SpiceJet reserves the right to deny boarding and forfeit the amount paid for the ticket. SpiceJet neither provides for any cloak room services, nor it shall accept any responsibility towards the passenger's luggage if the passengers wish to travel without the luggage for which they have to additionally make payment for.
- For bookings made under Hand Baggage Only Fare, each of the passenger shall be allowed to carry only one (01) piece of luggage of maximum seven (07) kg. of weight (having maximum overall dimensions of: 115 cms. (L+W+H) on Boeing aircraft and 108 cms. (L+W+H) on Bombardier aircraft) in addition to a regular sized shoulder laptop bag or a lady's handbag, free of cost.
- Bookings under Hand Baggage Only Fare can only be made via www.spicejet.com, at SpiceJet's Airport Ticketing Offices and selected online travel agent portals.
