SpiceJet Statement

Gurgaon, April 25, 2015: Earlier today a major earthquake struck Nepal near Kathmandu, with strong tremors felt across all of Northern India. As per initial reports, there is significant damage in Nepal. We pray for the safety of everyone in the affected areas.

Due to the earthquake, Kathmandu Airport is currently closed and SpiceJet's flights to Kathmandu are on hold. Passengers travelling to Nepal should check with SpiceJet before heading for the airport – information will be available on www.spicejet.com, through our call center, and through our Twitter handle. All change and cancel fees will be waived for today and the next three days to begin with.

We are also preparing to support relief agencies with the transportation of emergency materials to Kathmandu from Delhi on our flights once they resume. Details to follow.
