Gurgaon, 12 September, 2016: SpiceJet, the country’s favourite low-cost carrier is taking on a global market strategy to expand beyond its traditional markets to redraw its international footprint. SpiceJet is the only domestic airline to ink an agreement with Hahn Air, a sister company of the German scheduled airline and leading provider of distribution services for other airlines, Hahn Air. The partnership which will enable the airline to now sell its flights via the code H1 on Hahn Air’s HR-169 ticket, thus giving it a presence in all Global Distribution Systems (GDS) while easing passengers’ travel worldwide.

The partnership will also enable SpiceJet to gain better access to the global markets besides elevating customer convenience and improving service procedures and payment. The airline has outlined Europe amongst its foremost target markets in its global outreach program post the tie-up.

Shilpa Bhatia, Sr Vice President Commercial SpiceJet said, “We have charted out a systematic growth path for SpiceJet and the time is ripe for us to reach out to a wider audience while enabling our customers to avail an extensive network with elevated convenience.
