SpiceJet scores a hat-trick
Stands invincible on the operational charts yet again
Registers highest OTP for the 3rd month & PLF for 21 months in a row
  • Tops OTP chart for the third consecutive month
  • Tops OTP chart for the country’s busiest airport Delhi for the 3rd consecutive month
  • Registers over 90% Passenger Load Factor for 21 successive months

Gurgaon, 17 January, 2017: SpiceJet, the country’s favourite carrier, continues its dominance in the aviation space by clocking the highest industry OTP (On-time performance) and PLF (Passenger load factor) for the month of December 2016 as per the statistics released by DGCA. This is the third month in a row that the airline has topped the OTP charts. The airline also topped the PLF metrics for the industry at 93.7% and invincibly stood tall having garnered over 90% PLF for 21 months in a row.

During December 2016, SpiceJet registered the highest OTP of 70% much ahead of all its peers. The airline also topped OTP for individual metros namely Delhi and Hyderabad and is the third consecutive month when SpiceJet has achieved the highest OTP at Delhi airport.

“SpiceJet has ensured that it maintains its impeccable operational standards even in harsh weather conditions to continuously emerge as the best on-time performing airline. Not only have we scored a hat-trick with the best OTP for the third consecutive month in a row, we have also recorded over 90% Passenger Load Factor for 21 successive months,” said GP Gupta, Chief Administrative Officer, SpiceJet.

SpiceJet, which operated on an average 331 daily flights and carried almost 12.10 lakh passengers during the month of December 2016 whereas the number of passengers carried by the airline for the year 2016 stood at 126.74 lakh.
